The annual Ethnic Ministries Summit is sponsored by Ethnic America Network The 2013 Summit is the 12th version under the Theme: Mission On Our Doorsteps to be hosted in the Chicago area from April 18-20. These summits train and equip church/ministry leaders as well as lay people for cross cultural ministries and also provide great opportunities for networking and collaboration.

Please join us in praying for the success of the 2013 Summit and pass the prayer needs to others.

Prayer Focus March 26 – April 4: Surrender and join God in his work

March 26, 2013 Devotional Reading Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem,..”

Pray that the Holy Spirit will empower all summit participants so that we will urgently respond to missions in our doorsteps. Pray that God will speak to us through Pastor Paco Amador on this subject

March 27, 2013 Devotional Reading Jer 34:16-17

“…each of you has taken back the male and female slaves you had set free…You have forced them to become your slaves … You have not obeyed me; you have not proclaimed freedom to your own people.

Pray that God will speak to each one of us through Mr. York Moore on the Modern Day slavery that is in our doorsteps and even in our living rooms. Pray that there will be repentance and restitution as the Holy Spirit leads.

March 28, 2013 Devotional Reading: Acts 17:26

“He made from one blood all nations who live on the earth. He set the times and places where they should live.

Pray that we will all join God in His immigration policy and purposes, choosing to obey God rather than man. Ask that God will use Dr. Ray Bakke to speak to our hearts on this issue

March 29, 2013 Devotional Reading: 2 Timothy 1:5

“I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.”

Pray that each generation will be active in living out the faith and passing on the baton to the next generation without wavering. Ask that God will use Pastor Min Chung to communicate this effectively.

March 30, 2013 Devotional Reading Eph 2: 14 – 16

“For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility… His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.”

Pray for genuine repentance from racism and other divisive issues in the body of Christ and for reconciliation with one another just as we are reconciled with God. Ask that this will become a wide open door for missions in our doorsteps and pray that God will speak through Brenda McNeil.

March 31, 2013 Devotional Reading: Psalm 100:2,4

“Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”

Pray for a slice of heavenly worship experience as we come before the Lord all the three days. Pray for Pastor Brannon Carnes and those who will be leading the worship that god will inspire them and use them and that all present will respond.

April 1, 2013 Devotional Reading: 2 Timothy 2:15

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

Pray for all the seminar speakers and the topics they will be covering that they will work hard and rightly teach the precepts of God and not the precepts of man. Ask that God will lead each participant to the seminars that they need to be in.

April 2, 2013 Devotional Reading: Proverbs 19:21

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”

Pray for the planning team that we will plan diligently and be willing to let God’s purpose prevail over our plans. Ask for strength, commitment, wisdom, team work and for protection for the leaders and their families.

April 3, 2013 Devotional Reading Ezra 1:5

“Then the family heads of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and Levites—everyone whose heart God had moved—prepared to go up and build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem.

Pray that the Lord will move the hearts of people who should be at this summit and bring them in from all over the country and beyond. Pray for a good attendance and for more exhibitors to sign up.

April 4, 2013 Devotional Reading: Isaiah 56:7

“these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer… for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

Pray for Wheaton Bible Church in West Chicago where the summit will be holding that God will feel at home there and take over the whole facility and all that will be done there.

Pray the same for the area hotels where summit attendees will be staying.
